SOLVEQO Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
Applies to: the SOLVEQO mobile application (iOS and Android), related account and backend services, and the public website at https://solveqo.com.
1. Who we are
Data controller: Andrej Gašperík, operating SOLVEQO as an individual operator.
Privacy contact: support@solveqo.com
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, who we share it with, and what choices and rights you have.
If SOLVEQO is later operated by a company or other legal entity, we will update the controller information in this Privacy Policy accordingly.
2. What SOLVEQO does
SOLVEQO lets users:
- create accounts and profiles;
- post and browse local job requests;
- submit and accept offers;
- exchange in-app messages;
- complete jobs and leave reviews;
- manage optional SOLVEQO Pro subscriptions through Apple or Google.
SOLVEQO is not a payment processor for work agreed between users. Prices agreed in offers are arranged directly between the customer and professional outside SOLVEQO’s payment flow. SOLVEQO Pro subscription billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play; SOLVEQO does not receive your full payment card details from those stores.
3. Personal data we collect
3.1 Account and authentication data
When you register, sign in, or manage your account, we may process:
- email address;
- password (handled and hashed by Supabase Auth — SOLVEQO does not store plain-text passwords);
- account identifiers and session/authentication tokens;
- email verification and account-recovery activity.
Authentication is currently email-and-password based through Supabase.
3.2 Profile and professional information
When you create or edit your profile, we may process:
- name, display name, and/or username;
- profile photo (avatar);
- bio / about information;
- country, city, and region-related profile information;
- service categories or professional settings, if you offer services;
- portfolio or work photos, where applicable;
- optional phone number;
- professional age confirmation status and confirmation timestamp (we do not store your date of birth);
- reputation-related profile fields such as ratings, completed jobs, ranking points, and counters related to marketplace activity.
Phone numbers are not shown on public profiles. Other users generally see profile information through a phone-free public profile view. Phone numbers may be disclosed only to the relevant customer and assigned professional when a job relationship allows contact details to be shared under our access rules.
3.3 Job and marketplace data
When you use marketplace features, we may process:
- job descriptions, categories, and related job information;
- approximate location information (such as country, city, or region);
- precise job coordinates where needed for map placement or local matching;
- job photos you upload;
- offers, including price proposals, messages, and status;
- job status and assignment information;
- records of accepted jobs and related marketplace activity.
3.4 Communications data
When you use in-app chat, we process:
- message content;
- timestamps;
- sender and recipient identifiers;
- related job or conversation context;
- read/delivery-related metadata where applicable.
Messaging uses Supabase, including realtime delivery where enabled.
3.5 Reviews and reputation data
After eligible jobs are completed, we may process:
- star ratings;
- review text;
- links between reviews and completed jobs;
- derived reputation, ranking, or leaderboard information based on marketplace activity.
3.6 Safety, moderation, and blocking data
If you report content or block another user, we may process:
- report type (user, job, review, or message);
- report reason and optional details;
- identifiers of the reported content or user;
- block relationships between users;
- moderation status and related records needed to review reports and enforce platform rules.
We may restrict interactions, remove content, or take action against accounts where appropriate to protect users and comply with legal obligations.
3.7 Location data
SOLVEQO uses location-related information to show local jobs, nearby opportunities, and map functionality.
We distinguish between:
- Approximate or profile-based location, such as country, city, or region stored in your profile; and
- Precise coordinates, such as job map coordinates or device location when you grant permission.
If you allow location access, the app requests location while in use only. SOLVEQO does not continuously track your location in the background based on the current app configuration. You can change location permission in your device settings. The app may also use profile location as a fallback when device location is unavailable.
3.8 Photos and other media
We process photos and media you choose to upload, including:
- profile/avatar images;
- portfolio or work photos;
- job photos.
These are processed to operate the marketplace, display relevant profiles and jobs, and support communication and completion flows. Access rules differ by content type (see Section 6).
3.9 Notifications and device data
If you enable notifications, we may process:
- Expo push notification tokens;
- device platform and token status;
- notification delivery metadata;
- in-app notification records (type, title, body, and related metadata).
Push delivery may involve Apple Push Notification service (APNs), Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and Expo notification infrastructure.
We also store in-app notification preference settings, such as toggles for chat, jobs, reviews, marketing messages, and related email preferences where available.
3.10 Subscription and entitlement data
If you subscribe to SOLVEQO Pro, we and our subscription providers may process:
- subscription status and entitlement status;
- app user/customer identifiers linked to your SOLVEQO account;
- store transaction or subscription identifiers from Apple or Google;
- webhook and entitlement records needed to provide Pro features.
SOLVEQO does not receive full payment card numbers from Apple or Google for these subscriptions.
3.11 Technical, local, and support data
We may also process:
- app language, appearance, or similar preferences stored locally on your device;
- temporary registration progress stored locally until account creation;
- information you send to support@solveqo.com;
- limited technical logs and security records generated by our infrastructure providers.
3.12 Website data
The public website at solveqo.com is a static site. It currently does not use advertising cookies or analytics/tracking cookies. It may store a language preference in your browser’s localStorage (for example, to remember Slovak or English). This preference is used only to display the site in your chosen language.
4. How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- create, authenticate, and manage accounts;
- provide marketplace functionality, including jobs, offers, chat, reviews, and profiles;
- show relevant local jobs and map features;
- enforce phone, photo, and contact-access rules;
- operate safety, reporting, blocking, and moderation features;
- send transactional service communications, including account verification, password reset, and email-change messages;
- send push notifications according to your settings;
- manage SOLVEQO Pro subscriptions and entitlements;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues;
- comply with legal obligations;
- respond to support requests and rights requests.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not currently use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the SOLVEQO app. We do not currently use advertising trackers in the app, and the public website currently does not use analytics or tracking pixels. If our practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when such changes take effect, as required by applicable law.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases, depending on the processing activity:
| Processing | Typical legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing accounts, jobs, offers, chat, reviews, and core marketplace features | Performance of a contract |
| Subscription entitlement management | Performance of a contract |
| Security, fraud prevention, abuse handling, service reliability, and moderation | Legitimate interests (balanced against your rights) |
| Compliance with legal obligations | Legal obligation |
| Optional device permissions (such as location, photos/media access, notifications) | Consent through your device or in-app choices, where required |
| Optional marketing notifications, where enabled | Consent, where required by law |
We do not rely on consent as the sole legal basis for all processing. Core marketplace functionality is provided under contract and legitimate-interest bases where appropriate.
6. How we share and disclose personal data
6.1 Other SOLVEQO users
Depending on your activity and our access rules, other users may see:
- public profile information through our phone-free public profile view;
- job listings and related marketplace information;
- offers and messages within relevant job relationships;
- reviews linked to completed jobs;
- avatar and portfolio images uploaded to publicly readable profile storage;
- job photos for open jobs, where authenticated users who can access the job are permitted to view them;
- contact details such as phone numbers only where a job relationship and server-side authorization allow it.
Blocked users are restricted from certain interactions under our enforcement rules.
6.2 Service providers / processors
We use trusted providers to operate SOLVEQO, including:
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication, database, storage, realtime messaging, backend functions, and related infrastructure |
| RevenueCat | Subscription and entitlement management |
| Expo / EAS | App infrastructure and push notification relay |
| Apple | App Store distribution, iOS push delivery (APNs), and Apple-managed subscriptions |
| Google Play distribution, Android push delivery (FCM), and Google-managed subscriptions | |
| OpenStreetMap | Map tile data used for web map functionality, where applicable |
| Email delivery provider configured with Supabase Auth | Transactional account emails such as verification and password reset |
These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual and security arrangements.
6.3 Legal and safety disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or competent authority, or if reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, enforce our terms, or defend legal claims.
7. International data transfers
SOLVEQO and our service providers may process personal data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections with our processors. Because infrastructure locations can vary by provider and configuration, specific transfer mechanisms may differ by service.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
In general:
- Active account data is kept while your account remains active and as needed to provide the service.
- Subscription and billing-related records may be retained as needed to manage entitlements, resolve billing issues, and comply with tax, accounting, or legal requirements.
- Safety, report, and moderation records may be retained as needed to investigate issues, prevent repeat abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Backups and technical logs maintained by us or our providers may persist for a limited period after deletion or account closure before being overwritten or removed according to provider retention cycles.
- Account deletion requests trigger deletion of the SOLVEQO account and associated account data in our active systems, subject to the limitations below.
We do not define fixed retention periods for every data category in this policy because retention depends on account status, legal requirements, and operational necessity.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, authenticated infrastructure, row-level security in our database, private storage rules for sensitive media, and server-side handling of secrets and administrative operations.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- access your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- erase data in certain circumstances;
- restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- data portability, where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of habitual residence, place of work, or place of alleged infringement.
There is currently no in-app “Export My Data” feature. To exercise applicable rights, contact support@solveqo.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
You can also delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account, subject to the notes in Section 11.
11. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your SOLVEQO account through the in-app account deletion flow.
When you delete your account, we aim to:
- delete your Supabase authentication account;
- delete or anonymize applicable account-linked database records according to our deletion workflow;
- remove your files from applicable Supabase Storage areas, including avatars, portfolio items, and job photos linked to your account, where paths are identifiable;
- send a best-effort request to RevenueCat to delete the associated customer record.
Important limitations:
- Deleting your SOLVEQO account does not automatically cancel an active SOLVEQO Pro subscription billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. You must manage or cancel store subscriptions separately in your Apple or Google account.
- Deletion from backups, logs, third-party systems, or provider replicas may take additional time and is not always instantaneous.
- RevenueCat deletion is best-effort and may not guarantee immediate removal from every third-party backup or downstream system maintained by providers.
- Some information may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for safety, dispute resolution, or enforcement purposes.
For more guidance, see https://solveqo.com/en/delete-account.
12. Children and age
SOLVEQO is a marketplace service intended for users who can enter into binding agreements under applicable law.
- Professionals must confirm they are at least 18 before offering services. We store confirmation status, not your birth date.
- Customers who are minors may use the service only where permitted by applicable law and, where required, with permission from a parent or legal guardian. SOLVEQO does not currently provide a separate parental-consent workflow.
If you believe a child has provided personal data to SOLVEQO in violation of this policy, contact support@solveqo.com.
13. Automated decision-making and profiling
SOLVEQO does not currently make legally significant decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
Marketplace features such as rankings, reputation points, or job sorting may use rule-based calculations derived from your activity, but these do not constitute automated employment or eligibility decisions of legal or similarly significant effect under current app functionality.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on https://solveqo.com/en/privacy and, where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
